A Collaborative Effort: 60+ Years Combined Experience
Building Anew Community serves as the operational arm of the collaboration—bringing hands-on expertise in supportive housing, behavioral health services, and direct client care. With deep community roots and frontline experience, they ensure service delivery is responsive, trauma-informed, and tailored to local needs.
Building Equity Alliance, in turn, provides the real estate expertise necessary to acquire, finance, and manage the properties that house these programs in communities that demonstrate significant need. Together, the two organizations combine boots-on-the-ground service delivery with strategic property acquisition and asset management—creating a scalable model for lasting impact.

HCBS Model Overview
Building Anew Community is a community-based housing provider licensed under each state's Medicaid Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) program. This program gives states the flexibility to offer home- and community-based alternatives to institutionalization or incarceration particularly for vulnerable populations.
Our supportive housing model provides:
Safe, stable, and affordable housing for up to 24 months
Wraparound services for individuals experiencing housing instability, mental illness, substance use recovery, criminal justice involvement, or chronic homelessness
A path toward self-sufficiency and improved quality of life
Our program prioritizes underserved populations, including low-income individuals, veterans, seniors, and others who face systemic barriers to housing and healthcare.
Incarceration Diversion Program
Our incarceration diversion program—paired with our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and ancillary job training & mentorship programs that aim to provide a holistic approach to participants—yields an impressive recidivism reduction rate of 77%.
